A baby boy, who was left by his mother in the toilet after giving birth in the arena’s bathroom, is presently fighting for survival at the Greenville Memorial Hospital in South Carolina. This was reported by US news sites, February 8, 2011.
The mother is among throngs or people who went there to watch the circus. The baby was discovered when a worker at the BI-LO Center heard whimpering. The baby boy suffered from hypothermia and was rushed to the hospital for treatment. The hypothermia could be the result of the baby being in water for a period of time, or because he was without clothes in cold weather.
The Greenville police are now trying to trace who the mother is, so appropriate medical treatment would be given.
